Modern dance formed as a reaction to classical ballet in the early 20th century. This class explores a variety of Modern techniques such as Horton, Graham, Limon and more. These forms foster a heightened sense of awareness of being grounded to the floor while simultaneously feeling energetic throughout your entire body. Modern will increase your technical strength, personal expression, and musicality. An understanding of the classical vocabulary and previous experience with ballet is helpful.
