Why Rays of Resilience?
Thinking through the challenges and roller-coaster emotions of our human experience in 2020, I give full recognition to the true pain and hardship of the times. In the same breath, what comes to mind is the true resilience of humanity. I contemplate the tormenting histories humanity has endured time and time again since the beginning of human existence. Yet, for all of history, people have demonstrated their strength, creativity, and resiliency in all times of adversity. I believe the true genius of humanity is its resilience and its ability to choose not to live in the hopelessness, but live in the hope.
Why put on a show right now? Art offers a space to express what’s more than ordinary significance to one’s soul. “Rays of Resilience” aims to give presence to the pain, yet open a place to celebrate the radiant light humanity holds. The evening will be layered with dance, live music, written word, still watercolors, and true stories.
Art heals, inspires, and unites. That’s why we put on a show.
We are very mindful of your health, safety, and experience. We have the honor of hosting a hybrid event at a large venue that seats over 2000 people. However, we have very limited tickets for the in-person experience. Your family will have its very own seating section socially distanced from other live attendees. We will also live stream the show on YouTube and Facebook for your inspiration, convenience, and safety. Streaming live provides the joy of a live event for you in the comfort of your own home.
Resilience comes at any age and stage of life. You will experience varying generations of resilient stories and performers from kids to professionals.
Join us on November 7th at 6:30 pm > for an evening of hope and humanity.
Our Commitment to You
Amazingly enough, Fall is just around the corner. Whether it seems to have snuck up on you or could never get here fast enough, it’s certainly an odd time for everyone. We at Central Studio have had time to reflect and one thing keeps popping up...
“We walk life with you, creating moments of excellence & transformation through movement.”
Our mission! And yet, it’s never seemed more different to “walk life with you.” We spent the summer reimagining what Central Studio could be in a world with a global pandemic. We’ve recommitted to providing options where you and your family can continue finding excellence and transformation no matter where you physically are.
Central Studio has had a busy and joyful summer with our online summer camps and in-studio classes. We received feedback from campers, parents, and clients that inspired the programming we’re providing in the Fall. We’ve revamped our Youth and Young Adult Classes to make our Online options more engaging and our In-Studio options safer. Central Studio will also continue to provide both Online and In-Studio Adult Classes.
As a health and wellness business, we now, more than ever, have the safety of the Central Studio community on our minds. Covid-19 has continued to stay at the forefront of our planning and studio development.
Our updated Safety Protocols:
Temperature checks for staff and students
Masks for staff and students
Hand washing required upon entry and exit of the studio
Limited class sizes
Socially distanced dance/fitness spaces marked on the floor
Personal cubby for youth dancers so there is no prop or shoe sharing
No extra people allowed in the studio besides the teachers and students
Each studio has its own entrance and exit to reduce client crossover
Classes scheduled at least 15 mins apart to implement our expanded cleaning protocols
Opening doors and using fans to facilitate proper airflow
We want to address all of your concerns and provide a clear path forward. Please contact us anytime with feedback, questions, or suggestions.
The Road Forward
Our re-opening strategy and how we’re working to keep you safe.
As we continue to move on in these uncertain times with the global pandemic, we want to make sure we address all of your concerns and provide a clear path forward for your time with us at Central Studio.
As you know, Saint Louis has now re-opened much of the city and we are included in that re-opening. That being said, it is very important to us that we continue to remain cautious and responsible with our quality of service and the health and wellness of our clients.
Many of you are anxious to get back in the studio and to your movement routines. And many of you are understandably very concerned about sharing a physical space with others until there is more certainty around the future with the coronavirus. We have put plans into place to accommodate both of these desires.
We will be resuming a limited IN STUDIO schedule of classes.
a. We are limiting the number of people in the space. This means that classes will be spread out over the course of each day so that we can be sure to maintain social distancing guidelines at all times within the studio.
b. We are taking extra precautions with sanitation. All shared equipment will be cleaned between each client. The bathroom, door handles and other commonly touched objects will be cleaned multiple times throughout the day.
c. All employees will wear masks with the exception of instructors who are physically leading classes (such as Tap or Zumba) and make sure to wash their hands regularly and between clients.
d. We have added an exit in the back of the studio to keep traffic flowing in one direction and reduce crowding in the hallway.
We will be continuing our ONLINE CLASSES programming.
a. For those of you who are continuing to shelter-in-place (and for our new friends around the world!) we will be continuing our virtual classes online. HOWEVER, we will be switching over to MindBody Live from Zoom, so look for a change in the coming weeks. It should be much easier for you to sign up, so we’re super excited about that opportunity.
b. We will be continuing our FB LIVE classes for people once a week to join us through social media!
c. We will continue to provide limited On Demand videos through MindBody.
